Thai Yoga Therapy

“Yoga for Lazy people

Defined as the “Practical Expression of Loving Kindness” offers a solid foundation in energetic, spiritual and physical modalities for promoting well being and long life.

Thai massage, by its traditional name “Old Thai Way of Healing with The Hands” ( Chirothesia), is an ancient healing system, a combination of influences from Indian, classical Buddhist Ayurveda, Chinese, Southeast Asian cultural spheres and traditions of medicine.

The recipient wears loose, comfortable clothing and lies on a mattress on the floor.

There is constant body contact between the giver and receiver while the body is compressed, pulled, stretched & rocked.

A full Thai Massage session may include rhythmic pressing ( along the major wind points & sen lines) and stretching of the entire body including pulling fingers, toes, ears, cracking knuckles, walking on the recipient’s back, and moving the recipient’s body in a variety of yoga-like positions (assisted asanas).

There is a standard procedure and a rhythm to the massage, which the giver will adjust to fit the receiver.
